'With the fierce trend to 'protect' culture comes the comes the misguided notion that civilizations best maintain their integrity when isolated and spared contamination. A broad view of history suggests just the opposite: societies prosper when they intermingle, when ideas and knowledge are transferred in the exciting dance of cross-cultural pollination.'

Henry Steiner and Ken Haas. Introduction to Cross-cultural Design.
Published by Thames and Hudson 1995.

Art and design courses at all levels provide students with the opportunity to take short trips abroad. At higher education level there are annual trips to New York and to a major European city which normally last for six to eight days, staying in a central hotel within walking distance of world-class galleries and museums.

Further education level courses offer trips to a European City as well as visits to London galleries and museums.
